Dear friends and family,
I apologize for the delay on this but we have had to respond to a sudden discharge from the hospital for Jolyn and we have been busy dealing with making that happen for the past 3 days.
Jolyn was in the Advent hospital at Celebration for 12 days and was released on Friday to rehab, but the rehab facility has not been as yet approved by our insurance, so we have moved her to our daughter Kristys’ home where she can be taken care of by our two daughters. Both have substantial homeopathic experience and our younger daughter has equipment that shold be very helpful with the healing process. I am staying here as well and I had a hospital bed brought to the home and have purchased other equipment to help us be able to move her around when necessary for her regular bodily needs. The fact of the matter is she is essentially unable to do any more than lift her right arm and wiggle her right toes. Other than that she is pretty much immobile.
As it stands right now we are primarily trusting God for all of the directions that we should take as the medical route seems to be very que sera sera with no real answers to her very dramatic needs. But we are trusting God and so appreciate all of the prayers we have received from our friends and family here and around the world, and on social media where we have quite a few of you who have been offering your very encouraging thoughts and prayers on Jolyns behalf.
Yesterday we had a wonderful friend who is also a nurse come by to assess Jolyns condition and help us with several concerns we have with the processes and medications they prescribed for Jolyn at the hospital before discharging her. Nurse Ellen was extremely helpful and informative as we move on in this journey which came right after I had finished my own bout heart failure
I am sitting at a desk right next to her bed while I write this and I will do my best to keep everyone informed of her condition as it progresses. Again, thank you for your prayers and concerns for Jolyn and the family.
May God richly bless you all,
Craig Marlatt
My prayers are for Jolyn that she has a quick and complete recovery. Craig my prayers are also with you.
