CAMPUS REVIVAL IN KENTUCKY

Looking for that Blessed Hope

There is a great stirring happening as news of the apparent Revival that began in a chapel at Asbury College in Wilmore, Kentucky spreads across the land. I awoke around midnight on Sunday morning, February 12th, while perusing YouTube for Bible readings, and was immediately captured by the glorious worship that suddenly filled the big screen TV monitor hanging on the wall of our living room.

It had been a rough weekend for me and sleep was hard to come by that night. My mind raced through an insane collage of past memories and disturbing images of life in today’s “Woke” America as though I was living in scenes from a Stanley Kubrick film in real life.

As I sat captivated by what was happening on screen, my wife suddenly woke up and said:

“That’s what we need right now. God’s response to the insanity that is taking place in our country today.”

For the next several hours we sat there, praying in agreement with what was happening on the screen, sensing the presence of the Holy Spirit as thoughts of our family and loved ones came to mind. We spent the next few hours going from scene to scene from videos of the revival as they were being posted on YouTube by people who were there live.

We are eager to see a true awakening take place that will turn the tide of evil that has been growing for many years and is still working at warp speed to overthrow our nation with unbelief and confusion.

If you happened to see the demonic and perverted Sam Smith presentation during the recent Grammy Awards or the Half-Time Show of the Superbowl on Sunday, you too must be aware of the condition our nation is in right now.

Hopefully you are desiring a move of God to bring an awakening that will wash away the filth and degradation that is being poured out on us through the media and entertainment industry. Lord, bring repentance, forgiveness, and a mighty outpouring of your Holy Spirit on America before it is too late I pray.

Remember Sodom and Gommorah! Remember the Flood of Noah! Remember God raining judgment on the abominations of the people the Israelites confronted as they came into the Promised Land after Moses and Joshua led them out of their bondage in Egypt. And then remember what happened to the Israelites as they turned away from God and spent forty years wandering in the wilderness.

God, in His great Mercy and Grace, sent His Son Jesus to die a sacrificial death as the Lamb of God for you and I, and for everyone who will come to Him in repentance and faith. He is calling a people to Himself and He is ready to forgive you if you have gone away from Him or have never had a relationship with Him through his Son, our Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ.

Bible prophecy has historically been absolutely right about major events in the past and there are many passages written about the condition of the world in the end times that would would indicate we may be there or on the verge of being there right now.

I pray that this Revival in Kentucky is just the beginning of a mighty move of God on our nation. May it spread across the country to other colleges and institutions and bring a true and pure spiritual repentance and awakening upon America and this generation before it is too late.

I ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The name above all names, before whom every knee will eventually bow, and every tongue will eventually confess that He is Lord, to the Glory of God the Father. Amen and amen.
